Lonnie Frangadakis, C.D.T.
President
Lonnie Frangadakis founded California Dental Arts in 1991 and has since remained its president. Prior to CDA, Mr. Frangadakis was the owner and operator of Cupertino Dental Laboratory from 1972 to 1991. Mr. Frangadakis is responsible for overseeing all aspects of business operations, from the hiring of technicians and integration of continuing education to quality control and selection of the finest materials and processes. Mr. Frangadakis has been active in the California Dental Laboratory Association, holding four executive positions, including president from 1990 to 1991. He is a Certified Dental Technician and a Certified Branemark Technician. Throughout his career, he has received numerous accolades for his accomplishments in the dental laboratory industry. Mr. Frangadakis graduated from the UCLA School of Dental Technology in 1969.
Matt Froess
Vice President
Matt Froess was named vice president of California Dental Arts in October 2006. Prior to his promotion, Mr. Froess was manager of California Dental Arts’ cosmetic restorations division. Mr. Froess’s responsibilities include quality control, technician training, and research and development. Mr. Froess regularly attends continuing education clinics and advanced hands-on cosmetic dentistry workshops to ensure that CDA remains on the cutting edge. These workshops include the Las Vegas Institute and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study. Mr. Froess is also an expert in some of the industry’s latest products, including Lava™ Zirconia and Cadent iTero™. With 24 years of crown and bridge experience, and being a graduate of the mini-residency program with the Branemark Implant System, Mr. Froess is an invaluable asset to CDA. Before joining California Dental Arts in 1986, Mr. Froess was general manager of a competing Bay Area dental laboratory.
Steve Pavlidakis
General Manager
Steve Pavlidakis has been general manager of California Dental Arts since 1986. He is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the laboratory, training, and quality control. He is also responsible for assisting doctors in case planning and scheduling. Prior to joining California Dental Arts, Mr. Pavlidakis worked as an apprentice in a gnathological dental laboratory. Mr. Pavlidakis graduated from the UCLA School of Dental Technology in 1970.
Alex Frangadakis
Director of Business Development
Alex Frangadakis joined California Dental Arts as director of business development in August 2007. He is responsible for business model design, concept development, brand development, and strategic positioning. Prior to joining CDA, Mr. Frangadakis worked in commercial real estate. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a B.A. in Kinesiology and Integrated Physiology.
