For very large full-mouth cases, or cosmetic restorations, a wax-up serves two important purposes: it shows patients what a restoration can do for them, and it helps you plan your more challenging cases. First, you’ll choose a design as a starting point. Then, ask patients about their own preferences and specifications. We’ll work from molds of their teeth to create wax models of their future smiles.
